Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History; 14th & Constitution Avenue Ave. NW
This event will be a very rare opportunity our tour will be conducted by the Smithsonian’s Curator of rhetorical artifacts! She will conduct our group on a tour of rhetorical artifacts in the museum’s collection that are on display in the museum, and then give us a conference room “behind the scenes look (via slide presentation) of other seldom seen rhetorical artifacts that are rarely exhibited, as well as others that are not currently on exhibit in Washington, DC, but are on loan or being exhibited in other museums around the country.
Our guide will be one of the - if not THE - most pre-eminent experts in the rhetorical historical artifacts field in the country!
An example of the kind of original rhetorical treasures we will see - in person - at the Smithsonian museum: the original chairs in which Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy sat during one of their famous and historic 1960 presidential debates.
This is going to be an awesome tour, conducted by no less than the Curator of the Smithsonian’ historic rhetorical artifacts collection.
